Hey Jeff! I'm looking for a coach/instructor. I'm a semi-pro player that's starting to gig after 10 years away. I wish to short track getting my song book back together. We play blues (Freddie, Albert, etc.), SRV, Hendrix, Robben Ford and the like. If this fits your world view I'd like to get together with you for lessons (basically get my chops back up, comping, and get the songs worked out again). Here's my original CRAP for some background. I am interested in taking your class at Park City or Utah Valley. Not sure if I should sign up for beginner or intermediate. I am 60 years old and have been playing about 2 years mostly self taught but did take lessons for about 8 months from a musician in Salt Lake. I know most of the first position open chords, know the e root and a minor root barre chords on the 5th and 6th string but can't transition to them very quickly. What do you think? thanks

Hey Man! Glad to see you're rockin' better than ever! I date back to EARLY Fatal Vision days jammin' in John Bail's basement - whereever Ma Bail lived at the time. We had some wild and crazy days in the mid-80's. Your bio is very impressive! I always thought you were one of the most talented guitarist I knew. Glad to see you never stopped!! Hi Jeff as for how Todd died at such a young age,43,he loved to drink & he developed croesis of the liver,he quit 2 years ago,but the damage was too far gone,They said his insides we're that of a 75/80 year old man.When I say he loved to drink I mean alot like a 12 pack for breakfast+ a fifth for dinner.1 time he got poisoned from drinking so much was hospitalized & he glowed yellow,but did NOT have any of the hepatietis's just poisoned from drinking too much.
I heard of Vicious Cycle maybe from Todd?Thanks for the info Michelle,I met All the Redd Threat guy at the funeral,They came from all over.They are a cool bunch,& I know Todd thought alot of them.They got to meet our son Ashdon Todd Akin (Ash)also at the funeral.Anyone that has any old photo's of Todd playing we would love if you can e-mail them blacklassy@gmail.com or snail-mail@244 gray ln. We are so very sorry to hear of your untimely loss. My husband knew Todd from the Redd Threat days. His brother, Johnny Alston, played bass before Todd joined. Johnny and my husband Paul Alston previously played in bands such as Alien, Kingpin, Living Fiction and most recently Vicious Cycle here in Atlanta. Andy is the singer for Vicious Cycle. They all have been writing, recording and performing together with Andy for the last two years. Aleck Janoulis of the Night Shadows (old band from the 60 era. Has requested me to locate Bobby Jones daughter (page Jones-Berse. In your web page I see there is a comment from this person. Her father (if it is the same lady) played in this band along with my step Father. If you could contact Page and have her either contact me or mister Janoulis.
